I could go on about how much I love photography and my accomplishments and how talented I am with a camera in hand, but those bio pages on websites always freak me out a little and there’s always that question of whether to write it in the 1st person or the 3rd person and make out that someone else wrote it.

Hopefully you’ve got a sense of my photography style from my portfolio and gossip pages on this site so I’d rather tell you a little about who I am and my life.

I live in Cape Town in Blouberg with my very gorgeous baby boy, Jude and hugely patient husband, Simon. We’ve been married for 5 years.

I’m a complete dog person and have 2 crazy and constantly adoring black labradors, Mocha and Java. Yes, I love coffee too.

After having lived in England for 6 years, I’m happy to be living back in Africa with all it’s craziness. The wind in Cape Town tends to drive me nuts but the rest of this city is pretty amazing.

I completely love the fact that my job revolves around looking for the beautiful details and moments in life and for trying to bring out the best sides of people. I have loads of fun doing what I do.

I don’t particularly like rules. I love being around people but am sometimes a little shy which is probably why I like to be behind the camera.

Hi, I am Eddie Cronje, a photographer based in Oudtshoorn, South Africa. Welcome to my website. I started this website in May 2008 and would like to show my work to all interested. You can buy the photos from the site, sending me an e-mail with the number and the size of the photo you preferred. Prizes and sizes are available on the website. As you can see there is quite a lot of photos and several genres, this is because I am a little bit mad and snap everything that I can lay my eyes on. I hope you will excuse my paranoia but I cannot pass a beautifull motorbike, athlete, sunset or church without snapping it. How it all started? If I may tell you, I have a hobby of making videos and converting VHS to DVD when some time ago a small petite woman pushed herself into my life when I bought a pie at her shop. She asked me to put a VHS on DVD for her, I took the tapes convert it and the next moment I was taking photos at her marathons and races. Today all her events are available on my website and we’ve done a sport calender for 2009 and we are planning several exciting events together (I have recentlyupgrade my old Nikon D70s to a D700). Her name is Sanet Wentzel and boy can this girl organize. I hope you will love, spending time browsing through all the photos. Hi, I’m Annemari and welcome to my blog. I am a wedding photographer based George, in the Garden Route. Photography is my love and passion (after my gorgeous husband of course) and I am very blessed to have such an amazingly cool job.

I am a very relaxed and easy going kind of person and my style of photography reflects this. I like to be unobtrusive and blend in and I use natural light as much as I can. After working for six years in the growing and callcenter industry, I decided that it was time to follow my dream of starting my business as photographer. This was about two years ago and I specialize now in on location portrait and event photography. This includes work for big companies (Anglo American South Africa, BMW Financial Services..) and small business and coaches (Cath Duncan from Mine Your Resources etc.).
I also enjoy working with families and children on location. In this case location, often includes the beach and the mountain, but also family homes.
When I am not photographing, you will find me running on the mountain and often enough the photo bug catches me and photograph with my cellphone along the run.

A little bit about me:

Of my many interests in school, computers and photography came out on top. After school, I successfully completed a three year diploma course in Information Technology at WITS Technicon.

After two years as a computer programmer in Cape Town, I moved to London where I continued my programming career for another two years. During that time I toured most of the European continent. Armed with a good camera, my other love, photography, came into its own.

Friends who saw my photos were sufficiently impressed with the results, that they asked me to be their official wedding photographer. That was in June 2000. At first I used 35mm film, but in 2003 I switched to digital format, so that the quality of my work could be improved by having more creative control during post processing of the digital images. Now my computer experience contributed to the final product that I deliver, in that I can now ‘edit’ the digital images to perfection in terms of light, contrast and texture.

Although based in the Cape Town area, I travel countrywide for weddings (at an additional travel  fee).
