As self trained photographer for the last 10 years I must say that experience is the best trainer & class room.

Bernhard has traveled extensivly in Southern Africa from Etosha, Cape Town to Maputo, various photography work has been done.
He desided to settel down near the Kruger National Park in Hazyview with buidling a luxury guest house www.nandina.co.za offering guest accommodation near the Kruger Park.

Over 65 weddings have been photographed by him and satisfied customers all round, from Hot Air ballooning weddings to elopeing to the bushveld, brides on horse and elephant back to 300 guest, weddings no problem have done it all.

Marketing photography mostly consits off working with safaris companies, adventure companies, lodges, guest house and non provit organizations.

Photography is firstly his passion, turned into a hobby and then a full time occupation.

Starting on film the world of digital changed photography for ever, you can do so mutch more and get the shot absolutly right while busy with the shoot. I love to work with fill in flash and natural light outdoors. Studio photography not really for me.

As a full time photographer one gets the opportunity to travel a lot and meet new people along the way looking forward to meeting you.

Bee Eaters Farm and Caterers invite you to experience our lovely venue and delectable cuisine.  We are based in the popular Mpumalanga, South Africa, one of the most beautiful areas in the world.  Our services include conference facilities, corporate function facilities, private function facilities, bed and breakfast accommodation and Bee Eaters Farm is also a wedding venue.

Bee Eaters Caterers offer snack platters, cocktail snacks, business lunches delivered to your door, corporate dinner functions (any size), Braai’s (BBQ’s), private lunch parties, private dinner parties, corporate dinner parties, catering for conferences and catering for launches.

Bee Eaters Farm is made up of the renovated old farmhouse which is ideal for smaller more intimate conferences and business strategy meetings.  The main venue, the old farmhouse, is made up of a hall, which has a deep-set verandah and deck leading off it to make up a seating banquet style for 150 people.  The Chapel can also be utilized for smaller, more intimate dinner parties seating approximately 90 people.

Breakfast, Lunches, High Teas and Dinners can be set up on the verandah, main hall or deck, depending on requirements for the function.

Gamma Photography

I am a young upcoming photographer from Nelspruit, South Africa. I have been practicing different types of photography for my sixth year now. Whether it is something fresh and exciting you are after or something timeless with sentimental value, the perfect photograph will be produced to your taste.

My love for photography started in my teens as I paged through glamorous fashion magazines and always noticed the beautifully done photographs, and thought to myself, I want to do this and so it all started.

I look at weddings and see fun, excitement and nerves, stolen moments between two people, love and the smallest detail -  the things you tend to overlook while being caught up in your special moment, and therefore those little things will tell the story of your special day through the photographs taken.

I have an eye for abstract scenes and like to capture them in a way so that one would look at it and ask, what is this? Landscape photography has always been a personal favorite of mine and I like to shoot most of these images in black and white film. For some reason digital photography doesn’t come close.

I studied at TUT in Pretoria, South Africa for 3 years and obtained my National Diploma of Photography. I have experience in black and white film processing and printing of photographs in the darkroom, the E-6 and C41 colour process and digital manipulation of images on Adobe Photoshop.

I have medium and large format camera experience and shot most of my products, fashion and food shots in the studio with all the proper lighting equipment. At the moment I’m shooting with a Nikon DSLR, Canon SLR and a Kiev medium format camera.

We will shoot your wedding as formally or as informally as you like. Our style is mostly of the type called photo journalism. We keep moving and looking for the interesting pictures of the wedding.

We do the standard posed shots but try and find shots that differ from the norm by having fun on the day. It is the most important day in a married couples life, so as photographers we try and ensure the memories are good and capture them spontaneously.

"League Photography"

Hi,

“The year is 1991: A young aspiring photographer, equipped with his first 35mm camera, runs around a neighbourhood in Standerton, photographing every domestic worker in sight and selling the photos to them.” Jip, that was me!  J

Although my passion for photography has been there since I can remember, many people played a very significant role in my pursuit of becoming a competent photographer.

One afternoon, on our way back from a holiday in the Western Cape, we made a quick stop along the highway in order to throw out a few thousand ants that hitched a ride on our fudge.  I was the clever one that placed my late father’s entire camera kit on the vehicle’s roof – it was on top of the fudge-container.

After the little ones were chucked out, we drove off, yes, with the camera kit still on the roof. After many failed attempts from on-coming traffic to stop us, obviously signalling there was a speed trap ahead, we continued with our journey.  (We did thank them though!)

A long story short, a few seconds later the entire highway was filled with cameras, lenses, flashes, filters and all our vacation’s memories.

My father’s passion for photography and his big loss that day is my daily inspiration to become the best that I can possibly be and leave a legacy behind, just as he did.

My career as professional photographer started in 2004 when I met, and had the privilege to work with, an acclaimed Gauteng-based photographer.  He gave me a better insight into the world of photography, taught me many valuable techniques and business ideas and guided me towards my own style of photography.

In July 2005 I established “League Photography” and so began my solo flight.  I decided on the name “LEAGUE” as it refers to a class or category of excellence. It’s my daily reminder to excel in everything I do and to always be in a league of my own.

During 2006 I relocated to the Lowveld, an area of South Africa which lies very close to my heart, where I reside in Nelspruit.

My interest and love for people and their emotions still makes every precious moment spent with my camera in hand worth it.  My mission in life is to meet as many people as possible and have a positive impact on their lives, be it big or small.
