Another important tip which needs to be kept in mind is that your photographer will spend majority of your special day with you, and hence you need to ensure that you and your partner not only feel comfortable around this person, but that you have the necessary faith and belief in that your photographer will not only keep you relaxed but you will also feel rest assured that the photographer will not add to the stress accompanied with a wedding. If this is neglected, unfortunately, it will show in your photos.

Julle troufotos is daar om julle te herinner aan julle mooiste dag!  Ons doen moeite en maak seker dat al die troues wat ons afneem se spesiale oomblikke vir ewig vasgevang word sodat julle al die mooi oomblikke weer en weer kan herleef!  Ons kan daar wees vanaf julle voorbereiding totdat al die formaliteite afgehandel is by die onthaal!  Julle dag word geheel en al gedek!

I could go on about my love for photography and how I came about being a professional photographer. I could even tell you how talented I am at capturing beautiful memories. But since bio pages like that freaks me out somewhat I will rather tell you a bit about myself and the life I lead.I live with my partner, Derek and three of our children. Feldon (8) and Lynelle (5) are mine from my first marriage and Michael and Kathryn are Derek’s teenage kids. Michael lives with us and is finishing school this year. Kathryn lives with her mom in Durban. She is turning 16 soon. Derek is my greatest supporter. We have been together for three years now. If not for him, I would never have taken up photography. He is my rock, keeping my feet on the ground when the artist in me gets carried away. Like any other mom, I am faced with daily challenges in raising our kids. It is not an easy task bringing together two families of such diverse backgrounds and ages. I am Afrikaans, raised mainly in Pretoria and Derek is English, born and bred in KZN. (Yes, there are some Bulls vs Sharks conflict from time to time;-)) Together we have grown in times of turmoil and times of fun. I am addicted to my work and even more addicted to coffee. I love a good red wine with gourmet food and I love a good red wine with a good South African braai. I never exercise enough and eat too much. I don’t get enough sleep and I get short tempered when I have to repeat everything 3 times before my kids listen. A week or two of rest in the Cape usually de-stress me and we try to do this at least twice a year. The Cape is our second home.Photography makes me tick. I love the fact that I capture beautiful detail and happy moments, brings out the bright side of life and best of all, that I can call this my job!I am a total rebel, I always question and never follow the rules – most of my friends and family think I am a little crazy. But I am also a little shy and I hate being in front of the camera.
