Black Canvas Photography is situated in the Northern Cape and we mainly cover the Bloemfontein and Kimberly areas. We specialise in Wedding Photography as well as Model Portfolios. We also shoot Corporate functions, Family portraits and Matric Farewells.

Every wedding is unique and each couple individual. Because no two weddings or couples are alike, your wedding album should reflect who you really are, your true character and personality, and must also capture the special beauty and essence of your very own day.

We strive to preserve each moment in photographs that capture the emotion of each part of the day, that will revive every precious memory and help you share them with others for the rest of your lives.

By setting you at ease and helping you relax and feel comfortable with us, stiff, tight-faced poses are avoided and a collection of natural, fun and playful shots are captured instead, alongside a few formal poses that complete a wedding album tastefully.

From even before her make-up is applied, we have a way of drawing out the best in any bride and helping her to be the most photogenic she can be. It also takes a special approach to get the best out of everyone involved – emotional parents, excited attendants, shy flower girls and paige boys and an exuberant groom. We consider this approach to be our speciality and it results in natural, relaxed photos that journal the emotion of every moment of the day for everyone involved.

We aim to accommodate the photographic requirements of any wedding and budget and have designed a package that is likely to suit you.

Dit is naby die Drakensberge, Clarens en Golden Gate./Anne’s Digital Reflections is situated in Harrismith, at the foot of Platberg. It is very sentral and Harrismith is nearly as far from Durban as from Johannesburg. We are near the Drakensberg, Clarens & Golden Gate.

Ons doen foto’s & video’s/DVD’s van enige geleenthede en is bereid om enige plek in Suid Afrika af te neem. Ons spesialiseer in Trouvideo’s/dvd’s en doen ook redigering van enige video’s. Ons trouvideo’s/dvds is +/- 3ure lank en ons begin reeds afneem wanneer die bruid begin aantrek totdat die kousband en blomme gegooi word. Ons kan ook Slide shows van troufoto’s maak. Ons het 3 pakette (fotos) beskikbaar wat wissel van R1,500.00 tot R3,000.00. (Reis & verblyf uitgesluit).

We take photos & videos/dvds of all occasions and are prepared to travel anywhere in South Africa. We specialise in Wedding videos/dvds and also do video editing of any videos. Our wedding videos/dvds are usually +/- 3 hours long and we start from where the bride gets dressed until the throwing of her flowers & garter. We can also do Slide shows of wedding Photos.We have 3 packs available from R1,500.00 till R3,000.00 (Excluding Travelling & staying over cost)

Coming from a family of artists and photographers it was only natural for me to follow this route. I studied photography in 1997 at Washington School of Photography in Washington DC, USA, I then came back to South Africa and continued studying at Bloemfontein Technikon. After this I decided to go work on a cruise ship in Los Angeles as a photographer, which of course was an amazing experience!

To me it’s about being passionate about people and capturing the moments of your life into art and painting the details that makes your day unique with light.

I always like to get to know my customers a little before the day of the shoot, since each bride has a unique personality, taste and style not one shoot is ever the same. I believe that you have to feel comfortable with me and also be comfortable with the pose you are in for it to look and reflect perfect on the photographs.

Knowing that the bride & groom spends a lot of time making choices that has to be perfect for your special day like your dress, jewellery, shoes, venue, flowers, etc., it is of utmost importance for me to capture all of this since it is the only visual memories you will have to show for years to come.

When working with kids I try to get on their level even if it means crawling on my stomach to get a great close up shot! Being a mother myself I received a big prescription of patience which is very important with kids, since they tend to feel tension very easily. Some of the best pictures I’ve taken of children are the ones where they aren’t aware of the camera and this is when I’m able to capture their true characteristics and expressions. I’d rather capture a ‘real’ frown than a ‘false’ smile…
