Hi, I’m Annemari and welcome to my blog. I am a wedding photographer based George, in the Garden Route. Photography is my love and passion (after my gorgeous husband of course) and I am very blessed to have such an amazingly cool job.

I am a very relaxed and easy going kind of person and my style of photography reflects this. I like to be unobtrusive and blend in and I use natural light as much as I can. I don’t really like very formal and stiff, posed photos. I will give you direction though. But don’t be surprised if I ask you to “go stand over there and talk to each other”

We celebrate life with photographs. Photos are a means to connect with our past, cherish the present and are a visual reminder of time well spent, of family and friends we love dearly … they even create in us anticipation of good times ahead.

Photographs are about emotions, connections, intimate relationships. A photograph gives us a little insight into the character or fleeting moment in a persons or couples life or environment.

At Natural-Image Photography we try to achieve that insight through natural, fresh & spontaneous imagery. Shooting mostly outdoors, on location with natural light I achieve storybook imaging that is photo-journalistic in nature. Emotions aren’t just about smiling – real photographs depict mood, pensive moments, elation, sadness, transition, love, anxiety, fun. Hence the fact that my imaging precludes cheesy smiles & funny props. Its all about beautiful, realistic images, an artists perspective of who you really are, what your relationships embrace. As a result of my contemporary imaging, I was voted among S.A.’s Top 10 Photographers in 2006 December issue of Your Baby. Please feel free to peruse my portfolio and articles.

My name is Hanno Prinsloo and I live in Uitenhage , Eastern Cape near Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where I work as a professional wedding and event photographer. Coming from a family of artists and photographers it was only natural for me to follow this route. I studied photography in 1997 at Washington School of Photography in Washington DC, USA, I then came back to South Africa and continued studying at Bloemfontein Technikon. After this I decided to go work on a cruise ship in Los Angeles as a photographer, which of course was an amazing experience!

To me it’s about being passionate about people and capturing the moments of your life into art and painting the details that makes your day unique with light.

I always like to get to know my customers a little before the day of the shoot, since each bride has a unique personality, taste and style not one shoot is ever the same. I believe that you have to feel comfortable with me and also be comfortable with the pose you are in for it to look and reflect perfect on the photographs.

Knowing that the bride & groom spends a lot of time making choices that has to be perfect for your special day like your dress, jewellery, shoes, venue, flowers, etc., it is of utmost importance for me to capture all of this since it is the only visual memories you will have to show for years to come.

When working with kids I try to get on their level even if it means crawling on my stomach to get a great close up shot! Being a mother myself I received a big prescription of patience which is very important with kids, since they tend to feel tension very easily. Some of the best pictures I’ve taken of children are the ones where they aren’t aware of the camera and this is when I’m able to capture their true characteristics and expressions. I’d rather capture a ‘real’ frown than a ‘false’ smile…
